A Civil War era engagement involving Irregulars, or Anti-Treaty,  soldiers from the Castlegar Comapny caught off-guard by the approach of Free State Forces. Upon being ordered to stop, Jack Lohan of Wood Quay made a break for freedom and was gunned down.
