The brutal killing of the Loughnane Brothers by D Company Auxiliaries in South Galway in November 1920 shocked the people of Galway. This detailed lecture looks at the context and aftermath of one of the most brutal actions of the Black and Tans and examines the campaign of the crown forces in Galway and the backgrounds and later lives of the men who committed the murder in the name of the crown.
