We protest most strongly against the insidious attempts made by certain Newspapers and people

‘Proposed by Mr. P. Dermody. Seconded by Mr. Joyner & passed unanimously:- “That we the Tuam Rural District Council desire to place on record our unabated confidence in the Irish Parliamentary party under the leadership of Mr. John Redmond M.P. which has achieved so much beneficial legislation for the people of Ireland to remain faithful to the constitutional movement as directed by the Irish Party and to remember that Unity is strength.  We protest most strongly against the insidious attempts made by certain Newspapers and people, who have never supported the National Organisation to cause disunion in Ireland.

Read:
Resolution passed by the Dublin Municipal Council stating that they are of opinion that the time has arrived for the Irish Nation to unite in demanding the release of our fellow countrymen & women interned in English prisons without trial and amnesty for those who have been sentenced to terms of imprisonment.
Order: Proposed by Mr. T. Costello & Seconded by Mr Kyne – “That the resolution be adopted.”
