  • Originally from Dublin, I live just outside of Boston, and I was having some electrical work done on my house. The electrician was telling me that he had distant relatives in Galway, and that Joe Howley was one of them. I found this article very well written and very interesting. It’s wrong I know, but I’ve always tended to focus on Dublin when reading about 1916. So this has been a pleasant surprise and has made me curious to read more on the West’s contribution during that period.
