The Influenza Epidemic
Numerous cases affected by the new Influenza epidemic have occurred in Tuam during the week. One of the shops in the town had to close down as the hands were all confined to bed, whilst in nearly all shops there are two are three laid up. Seven or eight cases seriously suffering from the disease were admitted to hospital and one death occurred. A great number are stricken in their homes and new cases are occurring every day.
