Seargeant Ward Wounded

Winner of the Russian Order of St. George

‘Sergeant M. Ward (Connaught Rangers) attached to the Munster Fusiliers, awarded the D.C.M. and the Russian Order of St. George during the Loos battle and also recommended for the Military Medal, is son of Mr C. Ward, fish and fruit merchant, Ballinasloe.  He is at present lying wounded in a London hospital.’
